Hodakova Spring 2025 Serves Up Palate-Cleansing Fashion
The LVMH Young Designer Prize winner presented a collection of upcycled pieces with impressive structural tailoring.

Fresh from winning the LVMH Young Designer Prize, Ellen Hodakova Larsson showed guests of Hodakova’s Spring 2025 collection how complementary materials can take centre stage as the main attraction.
Entering the venue, guests were treated to a video installation by director Lucca Lutzky. Set to healing frequency music, the installation set the tone for what guests would come to understand as key markers of the collection. Featuring beautiful close-up shots of varying body parts interacting with zippers, buttons, fur hats and leather belts, Lutsky provided the perfect entrée to Hodakova’s main course.
Serving up a steady flow of upcycled pieces with impressive structural tailoring, Hodakova provided a refreshing palate cleanser to a week that is often seen as needlessly excessive. Using the aforementioned key markers shown in Lutsky’s film – zippers, buttons, fur hats and leather belts – to construct dresses, skirts and bags, the collection was a nod to both craftsmanship and the ability to construct refined sustainable pieces.
