Rabanne FW2025: The Key to Transformation

Unexpected twists unfolded at Rabanne’s Fall-Winter 2025 show yesterday, in an afternoon of intrigue. Guests received an invitation in the form of a key, an enigmatic token that sparked speculation as they gathered at the UNESCO building. Whispers of its significance spread through the room, with one guest, inspired by the venue, suggesting it symbolized the key to world peace. 

Show notes only deepened the mystery. “As this present time produces an ever-shifting confluence of uncertainty and courage, an old-world key worn around the neck can possess personal meaning; a universal sign of our safety and our secrets – or else, for unlocking something still unknown,” they read.

This delicate balance between exposure and withholding was woven into the very fabric of the collection. The first look – a sharply tailored blazer-coat dress – swayed with an unexpected flourish, its hem unraveling into thick, tentacle-like fur tassels. These details slithered through the collection, emerging from dresses, coats, skirts and even as detachable bag charms.

The show’s second surprise lay in its interplay between exterior and interior.
